During the bleak winter, roads are especially quiet. One may enjoy a short drive through the bitter and nippy countryside of Cothercott. Surrounded by frost-covered trees and bushes on either side of the road that they take. From the gloomy grey sky above to the dying greenery on the ground, there is a rather eerie yet peacefully lonesome feeling about journeying on up the wintery backroads.

Others may find themselves endeared to a more boundless and spacious terrain. Protected by the large and looming mountains, the beautiful brown fields of a terrific wetland in Quinag. Gazed upon by many passers-by as they each indulge in a leisurely drive whilst temporarily accompanied by each other on a long stretch of road.

The peacefulness of a drive can be dependent on the time of day. Some may find the business of daytime traffic to be enough to deter them from a meander until night has fallen. The road to Knolls presents a driver with a beautiful hilly terrain that is looked over by a sapphire blue morning sky with trees that are reminiscent of a Shropshire’s upland. Such scenery incites warm feelings of bliss and satisfaction, as though such a place allows one to escape whatever troubles they may be facing in life.

To admire such splendor in this world sometimes requires taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture. A drone shot over the A87 road in Scotland allows us to glimpse the often unseen beauty of the country’s landscape. There is something unspeakably satisfying about viewing a road crossing over a river into a land that extends endlessly into peculiar pine trees with the true horizon kept hidden by a slightly hollow sheet of fog. It is rather daunting to think that how when on this road, only a glimpse of the landscape’s magnificence would be viewable.

Another drone shot over the snowy lands of Pulverbatch only serves to prove the natural beauty of this world even more so. The mountains are scattered around the edge of this land for as far as the eye can see, permitting anybody who looks upon them a moment of grace where everything just feels perfect. The dark grey sky is complimented with the delightful pink fluster of light. Any driver who looks out across the fading sun is sure to swoon in awe of it. The sight is even admired by a flock of sheep who are grazing in the rising light.

All across this vast planet, in different seasons and different biomes, there are scenic routes that a lost soul can explore and find out, not only what beauty the world itself holds, but also what beauty is innate within themselves. From a snowy countryside to a dry and boundless alpine region, there are just countless places in which one can use their surroundings to find what they are looking for.
